The Wonderful World of AJAX…

AJAX (asynchronous JavaScript and xml) is the way of the future in web design. It allows for much more interactivity between the user and the web site and gives the users a much more dynamic experience. You’ve probably been on plenty of AJAX equipped sites and not even known it because a lot of AJAX’s work happens behind the scenes; pages using Ajax behave more like a standalone application than a typical web page.

I bring this up because I have been trying to learn a bit of AJAX and will be adding some simple AJAX scripts to both stevepohl.com and my ultra redesign of SladeArt (more on this later, but it will be a totally different site when I’m done). Right now an AJAX rss feed script from DHTMLgoodies.com is bringing the top of this blog to the home page of stevepohl.com.

I would like to know about everyone’s experience with this AJAX script so I can judge whether or not to continue my AJAX and JavaScript conversions.

Give me your input…
